W.G. and Beulah Ellisor Rosser devoted their teaching careers to the Karnack schools students.

W.G, and Beulah Rosser lived on teachers salries for over 30 years.

They bequeathed $500,000 to a college scholarship fund for Karnack students.

Karnack's 1952 six-man football team won their regional championship, which was as high as a six-man football team could go in Texas at that time.

Pickens Grocery looking east 1967

Hugh Powell operated this store before the Pickens bought it. Before Hugh Powell owned the store it was operated by Floyd Haddock and Vernon Hall.

T.J. Taylor's store in its last days, around 1967.

Shine Hale at Pine Island Point 1968

Shine Hale was the first fishing guide for Johnson's Ranch. He is shown here in 1968 at his fishing camp he operated for decades on Pine Island Point.
